What are your requirements for images?

To get the best results and to also give us the most flexibility when putting your site together we want the best images possible.
Bigger is always better as we can always shrink them or crop them to where we need them. The best case scenario for us is for images to be a minimum of 1024 pixels wide and 768 pixels high at 72 pixels per inch in either JPG, PNG formats.

Please, no BMP or GIF format images as they are of low quality or need additional processing on our end.

Images are measured in two ways, height and width in pixels and resolution. Most websites these days are around 1024 pixels wide and monitors always display images at 72 pixels per inch.

Another thing to consider is the aspect ratio of computer monitors and TVs as well as just about any image slider you see on the web: they’re all in landscape format . If you have a few images that are in portrait format we can use them; but they should still be 1024 pixels wide.

We prefer images that are in landscape format as most designs are made to accommodate landscape images rather than portrait.

The problem with portrait format images is that either the top and/or bottom of the image gets cut off as most images on the web are put into either landscape or square boxes.
