As yet another year comes to a close and with only 2 more days left in 2019 – the usual pre-show excitement starts to build.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost a year already; but in a little more than a week people from around the world will once again descend upon our little desert oasis to both present and marvel at the very best in consumer tech.

Every year, new products get revealed at CES, and every year the timespan from reveal to shelf gets shorter. Years ago, it literally took years, now it sometimes only takes months or even weeks.

Of course some products are concepts, prototypes only; some magnificent, some silly, some slightly far-fetched. Some however make it to market within weeks of being unveiled at CES; some are already available and the manufacturers are simply looking for a wider or a new audience (you can buy the John Deere and the electric Harley Davidson seen in the images below).

Whether you’re looking for practical solutions in home security or home automation (remember, ring started at CES only a few years ago!), are in the market for a new TV (you’ll definitely find me ooh-ing and aah-ing at LG’s booth again this time) or simply want to geek out over innovative creations and applications: CES never disappoints.

Unfortunately we still don’t have flying cars (yet); but give it another few years. And I’m willing to bet you will see them at CES first.
